While at church today, I had a lady come up to me and ask me if I was having a boy or girl.
Ouch.
It turns out, she knew I had been pregnant, but didn't know if I had the baby or not, and she was wanting to give me some clothes if I had a boy.
Still.....
Some other zingers I've gotten since I HAVEN'T been pregnant:
"You look so good! What month are you in?"
"Why are you still waddling?"
Seriously people? At least this latest offence had a purpose, and when she noticed her faux paux she apologized, and had the decency to appear like she actually was sorry. (I think I felt worse for her! How horrible she must have felt!)
So anyway, what a huge slap in the face of motivation I have received! Expect to see a new me in the future! A less-pregnant looking me that is.....unless of course I become pregnant again. But that shouldn't be for a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG while my friends!

Someone's getting frisky!!
At Declan's 4 month appointment I noticed this on his arm:

I got kinda freaked out, and asked the Dr. about it. She said it looks like a scratch, but the skin was smooth and it wasn't bleeding. Nothing to worry about. The next day it had "grown" and was "travelling up his arm." I was getting more worried........until I saw this:

That's right. Declan was giving himself hickeys! Goodness! What a frisky little boy! :)

Adventure Updates
Hey everyone! I know I'm not the best at blogging in a timely manner. (Although, I have to say I've been a lot better these past couple weeks!) Back when I started, I knew that some of you would check my blog and not see anything for a LONG time and would stop checking. Well, check no more! I've added a handy subscription....thing....to my blog! All you have to do is enter your e-mail address, you'll get an e-mail from FeedBurner to confirm your subscription, and then you'll get an e-mail every time I publish a new post! I got the idea from my friend Kara, and I LOVE when I get an e-mail that she has a new post. (It could be because I love her children and more pictures of them make my day......thanks Kara!) Also, I may be making my blog private in the near future, so if you want to be able to see it, I'll need your e-mail address to do so. And big thanks to Jake for helping me figure out FeedBurner and getting this started!
P.S. What good is a post from me without any pictures of D? Not good. Here's one of him at 8 days old. Another nod to Jake, one of our wonderful photographer friends, who took this picture.

Unnecessary Onesies
We have a wonderful family! And with them we have gotten wonderful extended family! My sister-in-law Grace's sister April gave us these super cute and funny onesies:
Single and Loving it! (I love his sleepy eyes in this one!)
Adorable little boy seeking precious little girl. Must love naps and have her own stroller. Crawlers welcome.
Mr. Right in Training
Available for Playdates
My favorite.....Ladies Man!
So why are these unnecessary? Well you see, my darling boy already has a girlfriend. :) And a wife if we have something to say about it! Here he is with his beloved, Abigail.
I like how his arm is behind her and his face says "Yeah, that's my woman." And see, she loves him too! :)
One more, because I love his face in this one!

The Incredible Spinning Baby
A few weeks ago, I laid Declan down for a nap like this....
3 minutes later, he was like this.....

(yes, I know he's upset, I'm an insensitive mother. :) )
5 mintues later, he was here....

5 minutes later, he was trying to suffocate himself like this....
(probably because he has such an insensitive mother.)
This was his final postition......
He never stays in the same position when we lay him down for a nap, or to go to bed at night. Even when he's dead asleep when we lay him down, he's in a new position when he wakes up. He also has a sound machine on the side of his pack-n-play (which is his "crib" currently) and it's set on "white noise" so that when the AC goes off at night, he doesn't wake up. Anyway, the last few nights I've woken up to chirping birds or a trickling stream because our little kicker has changed the sound! Can we say restless? Silly baby!!

Grandma's Blanket
At 3 months, Grandma made Declan a blanket, so Mommy naturally took pictures of him with it. (Grandma may have sutbly suggested such an event should take place!) :)
Taiko Drumming
Back on August 1st, we went to see some Taiko Drumming at Pearson Park in Anaheim. Last year, our friends Sean and Chantel Fox had invited us to go see some drumming with them and we LOVED it! So this year when they invited us to go again, we invited Chris and Larissa, and of course Gemma, to join us. Again it was really fun, not as great as last year, but it was a different group who performed and it was a shorter set I guess. Last year though we had a "pre-show" of a kids karate class.......yeah, not that fun. This year there were Hawaiian dancers, drums, and fire dancers!!! Way better! :) If you want to know what Taiko Drumming is, watch this and/or read this. It will make the babies attire make more sense!

Colton let Declan wear his Jinbe.
He wore his Happi Coat

And he let Gemma wear his headband!
Daddy and Dec watch the drumming.
The boys chill.
The Fire Dancer doing his thing....
Oh no, his head's on fire! Well, that explains the look on his face! :)
Gemma getting flirty with the camera.
Colton and Mommy watching the drumming.
Declan being lulled to sleep by the drumming.
Daddy walking his boy back to the stroller.
